Before choosing a puppy for a Pennsylvania home, connect the individual puppy with readable records, clear written terms and the care your household can provide. Ask which evidence supports the answers and clarify material questions before paying.
Sage Puppies is Cassie Milar’s South Jordan, Utah program, founded in 2025. We offer Havanese, Havapoo and Cavapoo. Pennsylvania families can describe their household and discuss an individual match with Cassie while considering a possible journey from Utah.
Start with current puppies, price and the purchase process
Sage’s general puppy purchase range is $3,500–$4,500. Confirm the particular puppy’s price with Cassie. Travel and continuing care are separate; guardian arrangements have their own terms. Read Pricing & Reservation and How It Works before committing.
Open the available puppies and read an individual profile. Listings can change, so ask about current status, records and possible fit. If your preferred breed has no current listing, discuss future plans. An application starts the conversation; it does not reserve a puppy or establish a go-home date.

Match identity and care records to the puppy
Request the birth date, sex, description and supplied identification. Match those details across the profile, agreement and veterinary records. If a microchip number is supplied, ask how it is verified and registered. Ask the issuer to explain any unclear or inconsistent entry before moving forward.
Request the examination date, findings, disclosed concerns, vaccinations, treatments and follow-up advice. Share readable copies with the receiving veterinarian and ask what care remains due. Keep the issuer’s details accessible so a missing entry can be clarified. A photograph or clinic name alone cannot establish the complete history.
Read named-parent screening separately from the puppy’s exam
A named parent’s screening, a DNA report and the puppy’s own examination answer different questions. Ask which reports exist, which dog each identifies, who issued it and what its findings mean. Review Health Testing before discussing the actual records with Cassie.
Connect each report to the named dog and date. Ask the issuing professional about unclear findings or limitations. Screening cannot establish every future health outcome. The puppy’s individual care history and receiving examination still matter.
Read Early Development and ask which experiences this puppy has had, what Cassie has observed repeatedly and what your family will continue. Describe children, other pets and the actual care schedule so those questions concern your home.
Compare three breeds through the individual puppy
- Havanese: ask about companionship, settling, handling and the coat-care routine your household can maintain.
- Havapoo: discuss the named Havanese and Poodle parents, and this puppy’s play, handling and coat. Puppies within a litter can differ.
- Cavapoo: ask about the named Cavalier and Poodle parents, individual activity, rest and response to everyday handling.
Explain the adults’ availability, noise, stairs, children and other pets. Ask which expectations remain estimates. A breed label cannot guarantee adult size, temperament, easy coat maintenance, an allergy outcome or weather tolerance. Discuss individual care questions with the appropriate veterinary or grooming professional.
Plan daily access and workday care coverage
Map the household’s actual week. In a rowhome or shared building, walk the route between the home and the supervised toilet area, including entrances, elevators or stairs. Confirm pet permission and who maintains access during ice or snow. At a suburban or rural house, check gates, exits and the actual supervised space.
Name the adult handling meals, toilet opportunities, supervision, rest and gentle handling. Include coat care and receiving veterinary appointments in the schedule. Agree on a backup caregiver before the main adult’s workday changes, with accessible instructions and contact details.
Pennsylvania’s pet-inclusive emergency planning also supports preparing supplies and a place that can accommodate the pet. Confirm the actual caregiver and receiving arrangements rather than relying on the household’s property type or job title.
Clarify written terms and the responsible next step
Before paying, review the seller’s identity, the specific puppy, actual price, deposit or reservation conditions, expected timing and each party’s responsibilities. Read any guarantee, return or refund provisions in the actual agreement. Ask what happens if plans change or a concern arises before homecoming.
Assess whether answers are specific, consistent with the records and clear about what remains unknown. A quick reply or a video conversation cannot prove every claim. Keep the relevant agreement and records accessible, and clarify material questions with the appropriate professional before committing.
Use the Pennsylvania homecoming checklist for current entry questions, licensing, receiving care and winter preparation. Discuss feasible Delivery & Pickup arrangements with Cassie before booking. Describe your household and timing flexibility in the application, and use puppy guides by state for another receiving home.
