Choosing a puppy for a North Carolina home starts with your household’s daily routine, the individual puppy’s records and a workable homecoming plan. Use those details to compare a possible match and prepare the questions that matter before paying or booking travel.
Sage Puppies is Cassie Milar’s South Jordan, Utah program, founded in 2025. We offer Havanese, Havapoo and Cavapoo. North Carolina families can discuss a possible match and supported homecoming with Cassie; Sage’s program is based in Utah.
Start with current puppies, price and process
Sage’s general puppy purchase range is $3,500–$4,500. Confirm the particular puppy’s price with Cassie; travel, ongoing care and guardian arrangements are separate. Read Pricing & Reservation and How It Works before committing.
The live family-availability selection below can change. Open the puppy’s profile, then confirm its status, records and possible match. A breed with no current listings calls for a conversation about future plans. An application alone does not establish a reservation, transport quote or travel date.

Compare the three breeds through actual observations
- Havanese: discuss companionship, settling, handling and the grooming routine you can maintain.
- Havapoo: ask about this Havanese–Poodle puppy and its named parents, rather than assuming identical coats or activity across a litter.
- Cavapoo: discuss this Cavalier–Poodle puppy’s play, rest and response to ordinary handling.
Describe children, other animals, work hours and who covers a delayed return. Ask what has been observed repeatedly and what remains an estimate. A breed label cannot guarantee adult size, temperament or an allergy outcome. Read Early Development to frame questions about the experiences you will continue at home.
Prepare for the home and daily route you actually have
An apartment or shared-building household needs permission for the puppy, reliable entrance access and a suitable supervised toilet route. A home with a yard still needs a checked gate and an adult responsible for outings. Write down who provides care during working hours and who can take over when schedules or travel change.
A coastal, mountain or city address calls for its own local conditions and contact plan. Use the North Carolina puppy home-preparation guide to organize indoor rest, coat cleanup, property access and storm arrangements. Confirm actual property and local rules instead of assuming a small companion breed is permitted everywhere.
Read puppy records separately from parent screening
Request the puppy’s birth date, supplied identification, examination findings, vaccinations, treatments and disclosed concerns. Separately ask which screening results are available for the named parents and how the reports identify those dogs. Clarify what each test addresses and what remains unknown.
Use Health Testing before discussing the records with Cassie and your receiving veterinarian. Ask the issuer to clarify an incomplete or conflicting entry. Keep your own copies of the purchase agreement, payment terms and care instructions. A health-tested phrase or guarantee headline does not establish an individual medical history or guarantee future health.
Confirm the actual public-health and homecoming requirements
North Carolina’s public-health guidance requires owned dogs to be vaccinated against rabies by four months and kept current. Discuss the puppy’s actual age, vaccination history and next care steps with the issuing and receiving veterinarians. Check the relevant local authority’s animal rules too.
Use the North Carolina puppy homecoming guide for the state’s current entry notice and documents to discuss before booking. The proposed origin, puppy history and travel date matter. A general delivery phrase or the routine vaccination age does not establish the eligibility of a particular journey. Review Delivery & Pickup directly with Cassie.
Make a plan another caregiver can use
Identify the receiving adult, veterinary contact route, care backup and where necessary records are kept. North Carolina’s 2026 hurricane-preparedness advice includes pets in household planning. Agree who remains responsible if a road closure, weather event or household change interrupts the original arrangement.
Include your town, care coverage, home setup and timing flexibility in the application. Write down unanswered questions for the people responsible for the puppy and the journey. You can return to puppy guides by state when preparing for another receiving household.
