Bringing a puppy from Utah to an Oregon household means planning the records, responsible adults and receiving care for the whole journey. Compare feasible arrangements with Cassie before booking and leave room to respond when health requirements or travel conditions change.
Sage Puppies is Cassie Milar’s South Jordan, Utah program, founded in 2025. We offer Havanese, Havapoo and Cavapoo. Oregon families can discuss an individual match and possible pickup or delivery arrangements with our Utah-based program.
Begin with current puppies, price and feasible arrangements
Sage’s general puppy purchase range is $3,500–$4,500. Confirm the selected puppy’s price with Cassie. Travel and ongoing care are separate; guardian arrangements have their own terms. Review Pricing & Reservation and How It Works before committing.
Open the available puppies and read an individual profile. Listings can change, so confirm status, records and possible fit. If your preferred breed has no current listing, discuss future plans. An application starts the conversation; it does not reserve a puppy or establish a go-home date.

Compare the whole journey and responsible caregivers
Pickup and delivery both require a practical care plan. Discuss feasible Delivery & Pickup arrangements with Cassie for the particular puppy, receiving home and timing. Include the journey to and from a handoff, transfers, costs and the adults involved.
Ask who holds the records, supervises the puppy and communicates during each stage. Confirm the actual carrier and care arrangements with the responsible professional, including appropriate rest, water and toilet opportunities. Do not plan around an assumed route, airline acceptance, airport handoff or arrival timetable.
Compare how each feasible option fits the adults’ time and receiving responsibilities. Agree who provides care if timing changes. Written communication about the whole journey is more useful than comparing one travel fee in isolation.
Check the current CVI and rabies requirements
As checked October 15, 2026, Oregon’s pet-entry guidance and its dog-and-cat factsheet require a certificate of veterinary inspection, or CVI, issued by an accredited veterinarian within thirty days before entry. It needs a unique serial number and the specified rabies information.
The guidance exempts puppies under sixteen weeks from its rabies vaccination requirement unless they originate in a quarantined area. That exception does not establish complete movement eligibility or remove later care obligations. Oregon’s resident rabies rule is a separate check.
Have the issuing veterinarian and Oregon Department of Agriculture, or ODA, confirm requirements and the accepted certificate method for this puppy’s age, origin, history, purpose and travel date. Keep the supplied records available to the receiving veterinarian.
Include the newer origin-dependent screwworm checks
Read ODA’s New World screwworm summary alongside the current rule. The summary focuses on origins in active infested zones. The rule also addresses animals originating in an infested state, including a permit obtained at least forty-eight hours before departure and accredited-veterinary inspection within five days before departure, with the specified declaration.
For origins within an infested zone, the rule adds professionally administered or overseen treatment, its documentation and a departure window tied to treatment or inspection, whichever occurs first. Oregon’s disease-control definition expressly includes dogs in its livestock terminology.
Ask ODA and the issuing veterinarian to resolve the current state-versus-zone applicability and timing for the actual puppy and journey. Do not rely only on the general pet factsheet, an old draft rule or a fixed affected-state list. Treatment decisions and movement authorization belong with the appropriate professionals.
Check the actual route and agree on delay communication
Use TripCheck and current forecasts and official closures for the actual route and date. Its statewide text report notes that highways without adverse conditions do not appear. An absent listing is not a complete assessment of every local street or the future journey.
Agree who receives updates, how responsible adults reach one another and who continues care if a delay occurs. Check the entire journey, including local access at the receiving home. Confirm the next arrangement when conditions change rather than rushing to preserve an expected arrival time.
Prepare receiving care, records and your next step
Choose a receiving veterinary practice and arrange the first appointment according to the agreement and veterinary advice. Prepare an indoor rest area, supplies and a supervised toilet route. Keep the CVI, examination and care records, agreement and contact details accessible.
Compare the Havanese, Havapoo and Cavapoo guides while discussing the individual puppy. Read the Oregon buyer guide for records and written terms, and rainy-day care for household preparation. Use Health Testing to prepare questions about the actual reports.
Describe your receiving arrangements, responsible adults and timing flexibility in the application. Return to puppy guides by state when planning for another home.
